Hand fucking lettered
Joel “Peter Pan” Peters getting down on my Swinger. He’s been lettering cars since the 70′s. We spent hours bullshitting and talking about the good old days, it was a grand time.

Spring is in the air.
I can almost taste it.
Pulled the wheels off the caddy for a good cleaning and to finally install the center caps. Nice to not have a gapping hole in the middle of your wheel. Decided to go the traditional route and run the stock cap on the starwires. Sourced a set of 3-bar eaglehead spinners when these lose interest.
The slots are all polished up and ready to roll. My buddy Harry lent me a pair of NOS g50′s (1970′s). The perfect period correct tire for the wheels. They mean I’ll need to jack up the back of the Swinger another 5 inches for clearance. More on that later.
Mopar Street Machines
Took a little time today to go through some of the random images collected on my desktop. Pulled these from all over the place, mostly from the forabodiesonly and forebodiesonly forums. Travel to a time when the Mopar Street Machine reigned supreme.

It snowed today.
No more driving cars until the spring. No fucking way the babies will be subjected to road salt. I’d rather walk… and I will be.
Putting the toys away.
Sad to say that it’s that time of year… Snow is coming, Salt on the roads, Ice and shitty drivers. So it’s time to put the toy cars way… Pull the batteries, check tire pressure and pour in fuel additive for a long winter rest. While tooling around in the Dart one last time, I realized that I didn’t have any decent pictures of her. Heck, aside from a few mentions on twitter and facebook, I hadn’t even properly introduced her to the world at large.

I found her on eBay, outta Georgia. And yeah she’s a real Southern hotrod… 1972 Dodge Dart Swinger. The previous owner installed a big cam, big carb, headers, glasspacks and a bunch of other speed parts on the rebuild 318 v8. Unfortunately he also fucked up the transmission, and neglected the fuel and brake systems. All is well now – Just as reliable as the day she rolled off the line.
It’s going to be a couple months before she sees the road again. But that’s Ok. She’s got the caddy to keep her company in the garage.
